For
the
painter
Ina
Bartelds
nature
provides
an
infinite
source
of
inspiration,
and
flowers
inspire
her
to
endless
studies
in
colour.
Ina
prefers
to
work
in
oils;
this
method
allows
her
better
to
express
her
love
of
colour.
For
this
reason
too,
she
loves
working
outdoors
in
the
sunshine.
Sometimes
she
works
quickly
directly
onto
canvas
(as
she
did
with
the
ephemereal
'Red
Poppy')
but
at
other
times
she
makes
a
first
sketch
followed
by
more
technical
re-working.
